General Information:
Sterling Silver: contains no lead
14kt. gold and 14kt. gold-filled jewelry: contains no lead
All natural materials such as freshwater pearls and gemstones: contains no lead
Our castings of either brass or fine pewter: contains no lead
Swarovski crystals: Swarovski crystal is the world leader in the manufacture of crystal for consumer applications including jewelry. The CPSC states that 1 gram
of crystal may be included in the design of a children's jewelry item. What gives
Swarovski crystals that unique shine is the lead (hence lead crystal) From a Swarovski
statement it is explained that the lead is bound into the structure of the crystal from
the process they use that creates a matrix which inhibits the mobility of lead. Because
of this structure, lead crystal poses no significant risk of excessive lead exposure to human health via surface contact (hand to mouth), mouthing or ingestion. Most authorities have concluded that limits on total lead should not apply to crystal.
However we will follow the precise rules of swarovski crystal by weight, so each
design that has such will be designed to fit that criteria.
Glass: contains no lead
Testing: We are making every effort to have tested by a certified lab any materials
such as other components we do not cast in-house to be assured it is lead free. We will
always stay up to date with these measures to assure a continued quality safe product.
Comment: I have spent 21 years developing and maintaing a business that did not
depend on imports from China, which I felt was very important. I am so grateful that
we have remained on our mission to be a bit old-fashioned and have the ability to
create our American made jewelry always knowing that we controlled our quality
